As you may know, I’m working through an online program with Lisa Nichols. One of my tasks is to decide what I am going to Stop, Start and Continue – micro changes to my life that add up to a lot. Micro changes are similar to the theory behind both The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod and The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.
Making continual, consistent improvements, add up to major differences to your life. The smaller they are, the better, because you’re more likely to keep going. Before you know it, you’ve developed a new habit.
Unless I’m sitting down to eat a meal out, I am going to STOP buying coffees. Yup, takeaways, on the run, on the go – no more. I’m old enough to remember a trolley coming round the work place with an urn on it. I’m sure I can cope making all my own coffees. I’m a big girl.
Following on from yesterday, then I’m going to START saving the money I would have spent on coffees each week. I’ve got an app on my phone for banking, I can move over the money each day. I started this last year, but failed. My name is Maddie and I love coffee…
I’m going to CONTINUE to eat my high-protein, low carb diet as I’m feeling frickin awesome on it. The small blow-out over Christmas just wasn’t worth it. But you know what, I don’t need to start it because I’m in progress – I need to get back on track.
What about you, for your #30Minutes30Days today, why not have a think about what you want to Stop. Start. Continue.
(With grateful thanks to Jo C from a previous lifetime, who effectively used this at work too!)
